Antigua Girls High School (AGHS) striker and MVP in the recent girls under-20 schools football competition, Nafisa Quashie, leads the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) selections ahead of the Under-14 Girls National Football Team’s participation in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Challenge Series slated for August 15-19 in Trinidad.
The 14-year-old striker who scored the most goals across all three divisions of the schools’ programme last season, scored 13 times in the U20 Division and another 12 in the U16 Division which included three hattricks.
Quashie is joined in the squad by other notable players like Keitonya Skepple and Na’Jireh Wijnaldum.
Antigua and Barbuda opens their Tier II, Group C campaign against Anguilla on August 15 at 2:00 pm before facing Guyana one day later at 10:00 am. The action continues on August 18 when the young Benna Girls face Cayman Islands at 2:00 pm before rounding off their campaign against Turks and Caicos Islands on August 19 at 12:00 noon.


Teams in each group will play each other once in a round-robin format, with the three group winners advancing to the Tier II semifinal. The second-place team with the highest number of points between the three groups will join the group winners in the Tier II semifinal.
The group winner with the highest number of points will face off against the best second-place team in the first semifinal, while the second and third-best group winners will compete in the second semifinal.
