RANGERS have been accused of ‘playing to the gallery’ after demanding clarity over the major incident involving Auston Trusty at Hampden.
Ibrox chiefs were left ‘unsatisfied’ by the SFA’s explanation as to why Celtic defender Trusty wasn’t shown a red card during the Premier Sports Cup semi-final clash.

The USA international was only given a yellow card when he kicked Jack Butland in the face during the fiery showdown.
Rangers believed their Glasgow rivals should have joined them on 10 men after Thelo Aasgaard’s first half sending off at the national stadium.
Willie Collum sat down with Gers chief executive Patrick Stewart tonight to discuss the thinking behind the decision to keep Trusty on the pitch.
The club believe the defender endangered Butland’s safety and should have been shown red for the flashpoint.

But Scottish football pundit Michael Stewart has reminded the Ibrox club over how they reacted to a similar incident involving Kemar Roofe in 2021 which left an opposition player with a fractured skull.
Roofe was banned for four games after he caught Slavia Prague goalkeeper with a high boot in the face.
But despite the horror challenge, Rangers decided to appeal Uefa‘s decision to ban the striker.
The appeal was turfed out by Uefa chiefs and he had to miss all four games.
And pundit Stewart has compared the two incidents, highlighting it as an example of Rangers being inconsistent.
Speaking on the Scottish Football Social Podcast, Stewart said: “Somebody sent me this, but Rangers vs Slavia Prague.
“Remember Kemar Roofe caught the goalkeeper in the head and he actually had a fractured skull?
“Rangers appealed that. They appealed that.
“My point is, a bit of consistency.
“You appeal kicking a guy in the head with the studs with a fractured skull and then you’re asking why was a guy not sent off for touching him?
“A bit of consistency. See when clubs play to the galleries? It does my head in.”
