ALL has gone quiet as regards Rangers’ pursuit of Peterborough wide man Kwame Poku.
But they are still in the hunt for another Posh signing – in the form of giant defender Emanuel Fernandez, according to a report.
The Rangers Review claim that the 6ft 4in defender, 23, is a player of genuine interest to new Ibrox gaffer Russell Martin.
He made 42 appearances across all competitions last season, starting 39 of them.
It wasn’t exactly a stellar campaign for Darren Ferguson’s side, as they limped home no better than 18th in the League One table.
Fernandez has spells at Gillingham and Ramsgate on his CV previously.

Unlike Poku, Fernandez has a contract at the club until the summer of 2027 – but it remains to be seen how much his services could command on the open market.
His fellow 23-year-old Poku had a standout season with the Posh last year with 12 goals and eight assists.
But Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers have all been credited with interest in the player during the current transfer window.
That’s despite QPR sacking manager Marti Cifuentes only this week, with Frenchman Julian Stephan taking over.
Peterborough chief Barry Fry admitted he would rather see Poku join another English club as opposed to Rangers because it would see his team bank a heftier development fee.
One time Celtic target – and Dundee loan stand-out – Owen Beck has also been linked with a move.
