JOSH WINDASS has emerged as a top January loan target for Rangers.
SunSport understands Danny Rohl is working on a deal to bring the Wrexham attacker back to Ibrox.
Windass played under the German at Sheffield Wednesday and they could now be reunited if Rangers can get a loan over the line.

The 31-year-old only joined the Welsh side in the summer but could be allowed to move on.
Rohl is a big fan of Windass and believes his attacking versatility and experience of Scottish football would make him a quality addition.
The Englishman first moved to Ibrox in 2016 under Mark Warburton, spending around two years at Ibrox.
Windass left for Wigan in the early months of Steven Gerrard’s reign in 2018 – a move he later admitted was a mistake.

He then enjoyed a productive five-year stint at Wednesday, but moved on a free this summer after the Owls hit financial difficulties.
Rangers have struggled for goals all season and Windass – who can play as a No10 or across the frontline – would boost their squad.
He scored 13 goals for Wednesday under Rohl last season and is likely to be interested in a return to Rangers.
Speaking recently about the Ibrox boss, Windass said: “He’s top class. The best I’ve worked with, tactically, by a mile. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen, to be honest.”
He also recently revealed how he was close to signing for Rangers last year but stayed at Sheffield Wednesday because of Rohl.
Windass said: “[The decision to leave] was quite easy.
“I nearly left the previous summer but with the manager [Danny Rohl] staying, I ended up staying too.
“This time, I was ready to move on to a fresh challenge. I could have gone back [to Rangers] this summer.
“I had some really good times there, a great club.
“But I didn’t think it was right at this time.”
