RANGERS’ stars have been getting put through their paces by new boss Russell Martin on the training ground.
But the real stuff on the pitch is just right around the corner.
It’s been all change off the park for Rangers this summer, with the blockbuster US takeover led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises going through.
With major new appointments at boardroom level, there’s also a new head coach at the helm in the form of Martin.
He’ll be looking to inspire his new team to a title challenge as the Gers look to end Celtic’s dominance.
While the Scottish Premiership season is still a month away, the Gers will be back on the pitch at Ibrox THIS weekend.

Rangers’ pre-season schedule 2025
The league season is still several weeks away, but Rangers will be in competitive action later this month when the Champions League qualifiers begin.
That means Martin and his players have just ONE friendly out on the pitch before the real thing kicks-off.
The Gers will also head to St George’s Park this month for an intensive pre-season camp.
- Sunday, July 6: Rangers vs Club Brugge – Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow (2pm)
- Saturday, July 26: Rangers vs Middlesbrough – Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow (2pm)
- July: Pre-season camp at St George’s Park, England

The Brugge clash will offer Gers fans the chance to see some new faces for the first time.

When does Rangers’ competitive 2025/26 season begin?
Rangers’ first competitive match takes place IN BETWEEN their two friendly matches.
The Gers will take on Panathinaikos in the first leg of their Champions League second qualifying round tie at Ibrox on July 21.

A week later, they’ll head to Greece for the second leg.
Rangers will then travel to face Motherwell in their opening Scottish Premiership clash of the season on Saturday, August 2 with a 5.30pm kick-off.
