RANGERS have rekindled their interest in a former January transfer target, according to reports.
Russell Martin has welcomed 11 new players this summer (including the deals already agreed for Lyall Cameron and Oscar Cortes) but isn’t stopping there.
Jayden Meghoma is the most recent of those arrivals, with the left-back signing from Brentford on loan.
But the Premier League starlet might not be the last left-sided defender to join Gers in the window.
Reports in Italy suggest that Anass Salah-Eddine has been put on the transfer list by Roma, despite the fact he only signed there six months ago.
According to Il Tempo, Sala-Eddine has failed to convince head coach Gian Piero Gasperini of his place in the squad, so they are looking to sell him or loan him out.

The 23-year-old left Twente in the Netherlands for the Serie A giants, whom he had joined from Ajax in February 2024.
At that time, Rangers were credited with interest in him but he opted to stay in his homeland, with Twente also fending off Torino to secure his signature.
Now further reports in Turkey are claiming that the Ibrox club are ready to swoop back in for the versatile defender, who Roma paid £6.9million for in January.
Super Lig Diary suggest that the interest in Salah-Eddine is intertwined with the future of Ridvan Yilmaz, with the Turkish left-back close to completing a move to Besiktas.
They claim Gers are willing to drop their price tag on Yilmaz because of the incoming funds from the sale of Jefte.
Salah-Eddine can operate as a left wing-back as well as an orthodox left-back and was a regular Netherlands youth international until becoming overage.
He came through the youth systems of AZ Alkmaar and Ajax before making his debut for the latter in 2021.
While primarily a left-sided defender, Salah-Eddine has been used on the left wing and in central midfield, and has also had a handful of run outs at right-back and centre-back.
Salah-Eddine has three years remaining on his Roma contract but has only made three appearances since he joined earlier this year.
Two of them were starts and he registered an assists in a 1-0 win over Empoli.
