RANGERS are reportedly due to play a Ligue 1 side in a friendly in France as Russell Martin ramps up preparations for the new season.
The match is apparently due to take place just a few days before their Champions League second round qualifier on July 22.
Rangers players will return to pre-season on the 23rd of this month and have officially lined up friendlies against Club Brugge on July 6 and Middlesbrough on July 26.
They are also set for a week of training at St George’s – the home of the England national team.
It was built in 2012 for £105m and boasts world-class training pitches and state-of-the-art performance facilities.
And According to L’Independant, Rangers have lined up a friendly against Toulouse who finished 10th in Ligue 1 last season.
The French media outlet says the match will be played at the Stade Saint-Michel stadium on July 18.
It is the home of French fifth tier side Canet Roussillon which has a capacity of around 3,500 fans in Perpignan.
It is also claimed the Gers will be training in the Catalan village of Peralada.
