RANGERS have reportedly completed the signing of former Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski from Girona.
The striker has put pen to paper on a four-year deal after completing his medical in Paris on Friday, according to reports.
The Macedonian forward could even be in line to start against Celtic on Sunday in the first Old Firm derby of the season.
It’s reported by Macedonian journalist Filip Mishov on X that the 26-year-old will jet into Glasgow on Saturday after being granted a UK visa.
Miovski is no stranger to Scottish football having had a prolific two-year spell with Aberdeen, where he netted 44 goals in 98 games for the Pittodrie club.
That paved the way for a big money move to Girona but he wasn’t able to hit the same heights as he did during his stint in the Granite City.
He scored just four times in 23 games for the La Liga side and although it was a step up, Rangers fans will be hoping he can rediscover his lethal streak in front at goal at Ibrox.
Rangers have also been linked with Everton youth forward Youssef Chermiti.
The Gers’ haven’t had their problems to seek upfront with the sour ending to Hamza Igamane’s time at the club.
He initially endeared himself to the supporters after moving from FAR Rabat last season, with goals and performances in the Europa League and against Celtic.
However, his final few acts as a Rangers player will have tarnished his reputation in the eyes of some if not all fans.
Russell Martin revealed he asked Igamane to come on against St Mirren and the striker refused citing a quad injury.
It then transpired before his £10.4million move to Lille that the club found no signs of obvious injury after he was seen by the medical team.
And he missed training before their disastrous Champions League exit to Club Brugge.
There are also questions marks over Cyriel Dessers.
The attacker has been linked with a move away from Rangers repeatedly this summer, with AEK Athens, Panathinaikos and Verona all credited with an interest in the 30-year-old.
The Light Blues’ other striker Danilo has struggled to make an impact after injury and has scored just once since January.
