RUSSELL MARTIN has been looking to bolster his striking options this summer at Rangers.
But it looks as though another target is going to slip away, according to reports on Monday.
With Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane being linked with moves away from the club and Danilo yet to really convince as a striker to lead the Light Blues, this is news the fans would have been fearing.
Sky Sport reporter Luca Bendoni on X claims MLS team New England Revolution are “on the verge of signing Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Dor Turgeman”.
The 21-year-old has been strongly linked with a switch to Ibrox this summer, but Bendoni says medical tests are expected to take place in Israel in the coming hours.
He also says a fee of $6million (£4.4m) plus $1m (£740k) has been agreed between the clubs.

The £5m deal will reportedly also include a 25 per cent sell on clause.
Turgeman fired Maccabi to title glory last season with 15 goals in 32 games.
He netted in Maccabi’s cup clash against Hapoel Jerusalem on Sunday and has also earned 10 caps for his country.
Last month, Maccabi boss Zarko Lazetic says it would take a fairytale offer from Rangers to convince the club to sell him.

Rangers were also apparently interested in Dor Turgeman’s team-mate Weslley Patati last month but the trail on that target has seemingly gone cold.
Meanwhile, Rangers have reportedly booted out a bid for attacker Hamza Igamane.
The 22-year-old has been tracked by Lille and others this summer but it’s claimed Rangers and the Ligue 1 club are still in discussions.
