LIVINGSTON played host to Rangers today in Premiership action,
But the battle between the two sides didn’t just take place on the pitch, as jibes were thrown on social media too.
As usual, around an hour before kick off, the two clubs were ready to post the afternoon’s line-ups online.

And once the team on the receiving end noticed and pointed out the mistake with a correction and a blowing a kiss emoji, the original post was deleted.
Furthermore, after Rangers re-uploaded their starting XI with the correct spelling, the West Lothian outfit took another dig.
They reposted their opponents with the caption: “How our visitors Rangerse line up for today’s clash.”
Many fans from both sides appreciated the humour in the situation, one wrote: “That’s actually class.”
A Gers supporter commented ‘quality patter to be fair’ while another added ‘fair play’.
A fourth said: “Imagine Livingstone will be right up for this,” with a peering side-eyes emoji.
But it certainly wasn’t just performance on the internet that fans were considered with going into this fixture.
Heading into the match the hosts sat in eighth place while the Glasgow giants sat below them in tenth.
Still seeking a first league win, Gers fans let their feelings be known as they chanted against boss Russell Martin as he made his way into the stadium.
The choruses rose again in the second half when Mo Sylla scored an equaliser, just as has been heard in previous games recently.
