Though there could well be an interesting spectator in the crowd with Andrew Cavenagh jetting in on Thursday night to take ‘full control’ of the situation.

Defeat to Hearts last weekend was met with ‘sacked in the morning’ songs from both sets of fans, more unrest outside the ground and statements from all corners of the globe of supporters clubs calling for change in the management and board level.

The worrying sign for supporters is it doesn’t look like a turn is coming and the fixtures don’t get much kinder.

First up is a Hibs side still unbeaten in the league with a win and three draws after four games. In the last two games they’ve had to battle back from behind to get draws against St Mirren and ten man Dundee United.

Hibs are also unbeaten in the last three games against Rangers, winning one and drawing two.

The word of the week has been extra time – that’s what Russell Martin is getting whether he deserves it or not.

And I don’t know if the result on Saturday will help him much but I can see that also needing extra time.
