Rangers vs Kilmarnock preview
Danny Rohl gets his first taste of Ibrox on Sunday when his Rangers side host Kilmarnock in the Premiership.
It wasn’t the start the new boss was looking for when Gers were thumped 3-0 by Norwegian side Brann on Thursday night.
Angry scenes followed again as the supporters vented their frustration at the board, though did clap and sing for Rohl who went over to apologise after the game.
The Light Blues now sit BOTTOM of the 36-team table after three games and three defeats and now turn their attentions to domestic business.
They sit a point and a place behind Stuart Kettlewell’s Killie in the actual table, but Gers sit BOTTOM of the ‘home’ table, with just three points from four Ibrox contests.
Four games without a win in all comps heading into the game, Rohl can’t have been impressed with the showing on Thursday and James Tavernier labelled the showing “a disgrace” after it.
Whether or not the extra day or two is enough for Rohl to turn these flops around remains to be seen.
Killie arrive on the back of defeat to leaders Hearts last time out.
That was only their second defeat of the campaign after losing to Celtic via a highly controversial penalty last month and must surely recognise this as an ideal time to play Rangers.
