MARC GUEHI looks set to snub Spain after Real Madrid reportedly pulled out of the race to sign him.
The Crystal Palace ace has priced himself out of a move to the Bernabeu because of his huge wage and signing-on demands.
The England international has been one of the standout defenders in the Premier League this season, catching the eye of Europe’s biggest clubs.
But it now looks like his next move will keep him much closer to home.
Liverpool and Bayern Munich are believed to be leading the chase for his signature next summer with the Sun told he’s keeping his options open.
Guehi’s current deal with Palace runs until June 2026 but he has no plans to extend it.

That means the Eagles could be forced to cash in January even though the player’s side say that he’s not keen on a mid-season move.
Real Madrid had been seriously considering a move and saw Guehi as a strong alternative to Ibrahima Konate, Dayot Upamecano and William Saliba.
But reports in Spain claim Los Blancos have now walked away because his financial demands are simply too high.
Liverpool are thought to be in pole position and sources say Anfield is Guehi’s preferred destination.

The Reds tried to sign him last summer, but Palace pulled the plug at the last moment when they failed to find a replacement, with the Sun breaking the news that the deal had been blocked.
Boss Oliver Glasner was said to be furious at the idea of losing his defensive rock, even threatening to quit if the transfer went through, a fact he later denied.
Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation and could move if Kim Min-jae leaves the club next year.
Guehi’s reputation has soared after helping Palace to a shock FA Cup triumph and Community Shield win over Manchester City and Liverpool.
According to BeSoccer stats, the 25-year-old has been immense, winning 73 per cent of duels, 57 per cent of aerial battles and averaging nearly ten recoveries per game in 17 matches.
Glasner recently admitted that his star defender “wants something different”, and with Liverpool and Bayern ready to battle it out, Guehi’s next move could spark one of the biggest transfer sagas of 2026.
Inside Guehi’s collapsed Liverpool transfer after Glasner power struggle
OLIVER GLASNER has won his battle with Steve Parish over captain Marc Guehi.
The most successful manager in Crystal Palace history slammed his foot down and demanded that he did not lose his skipper this late in the window.
Glasner made it abundantly clear in public that he wanted Guehi to stay following the win over Aston Villa.
Within the club some feared he could even walk if the defender was sold.
Off the back of the FA Cup win in May and the victory over Liverpool in the Community Shield, this is the prime time for Glasner to throw his weight around.
Not that Palace did not try to land a fee for Guehi, who could now leave for nothing in a year’s time.
