RIOT police rushed into a stand full of Aberdeen supporters and clashed with fans before the UEFA Conference League tie in Athens.
Jimmy Thelin’s Dons recorded their worst-ever result in European competition, going down by six to AEK Athens.
Over 1,500 Aberdeen fans travelled to Greece for the game.
But just five minutes around 10 officers carrying shields and clad in body armour and helmets rushed into the away end.
Footage from the stadium shows riot cops in the bottom corner of the away section.
They then start to wade into Aberdeen supporters in the stand.
It is not clear if any fans were injured or why the police swept in.
Officers then backed off from the Dons fans as the game kicked off.
It was just 11 minutes into the fixture at AEK Athens before the hosts took the lead thanks to Aboubakary Koita.
He added a second before the 20 minute mark, then a calamity at the back between Dimitar Mitov and Jack Milne allowed Niclas Eliasson to make it 3-0 to the Greek side before the half-hour mark.
But come the 55th minute the home team had added a fourth regardless.
Jovic and Kutesa got the home side’s fifth and sixth goals.
Last season’s Scottish Cup winners were handed Shakhtar Donetsk, Ligue 1 title competitors Strasbourg, and Sparta Prague in the third tier of European competition.
That came after they were dumped out of the Europa League by FCSB.
