BOTH Celtic and Rangers have had a change of manager this season.
And now both of the departed bosses are contenders for the SAME managerial vacancy.
Rangers dismissed Russell Martin early last month after a dire spell in charge.
Appointed in June, he lasted just four months in the role and was axed just hours after a 1-1 draw at Falkirk.
That was the latest dreadful result for the Gers in Martin’s ill-fated reign that saw him win just five of his 17 games in all competitions.
At the time Rangers pulled the trigger, Martin’s departure was little surprise due to both the form and the weight of fan pressure being put on club chiefs to get rid of the beleaguered boss.

Brendan Rodgers’ exit from Celtic a week ago certainly came as more of a shock.
He was in the final year of his Parkhead contract and many of his comments raised eyebrows, but the manner of Rodgers’ departure was stunning in fashion.
It was last Monday night when Celtic dropped the bombshell announcement that Rodgers had resigned from his role.
Hoops supremo Dermot Desmond then dropped a bombshell statement of his own, absolutely eviscerating Rodgers.
Rangers replaced Martin with Danny Rohl while Celtic legend Martin O’Neill is back in the dugout as interim Hoops boss.
But what could be next for the two bosses who have exited two of the biggest jobs in Scottish football this season?
Well, the bookies reckon they are BOTH contenders for the same job.
Southampton sacked Will Still last night after a horror start to the Championship.
The Saints would’ve seen themselves as promotion contenders but instead sit 21st and just outside the relegation zone after just two wins from 13 league games.
That run has seen Still axed after just over five months at the helm.
Incredibly, it’s ex-Gers boss Martin who is the FAVOURITE for the position.
BetVictor have Martin priced at 6/4 to make what would be an incredible return to St Mary’s.
He was previously in charge of Southampton between 2023 and 2024.
Martin led the Saints to promotion via the Championship play-offs in his first, and only, full season in charge.
However, the club struggled badly in the Premier League and Martin was sacked last December having won just one of his 16 top flight games in charge.
TalkSPORT report that senior Southampton players would welcome Martin’s return as manager.
However, reports in the local press say that the club hierarchy would be less enthused about reappointing him.
Rodgers, meanwhile, is listed as the third favourite in the bookies odds at 8/1.

However, it’s been almost 15 years since he managed in English football’s second tier when he led Swansea out of the Championship and into the Premier League.
At 5/1, former Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick, who had been linked with the Rangers job, is second favourite and the man in between Martin and Rodgers.
Former Gers manager Steven Gerrard is an outside bet at 16/1, having previously been linked to the Southampton job.
