Despite suffering a crushing 11-0 defeat in the first leg, Dreamers FC showed remarkable courage, stepping onto the rain-soaked pitch at Michael Ashcroft Stadium for the return match against the formidable Sagitun GIRLZ.
While the final scoreline read 13-0 in favor of Sagitun GIRLZ, the real story was one of determination and heart. Sagitun GIRLZ, now heading to the PWLB final, took a moment after the match to pay tribute to their opponents, praising Dreamers FC for their unwavering commitment in the face of adversity.
“We want to recognize the Dreamers FC for coming down for the second leg of the semifinals,” Sagitun GIRLZ shared.
“Despite the wet pitch and faced with a very steep mountain to climb, they relented and put forth their warriors to face a Sagi Team that has, at this time, a little gem by the name of Jolene! It was a one-sided scoreline, but at one time we were also at the receiving end of such scores! Carry on Dreamers, be consistent and continue being courageous! Your time will come!”
Jolene Aranda, once again proving her star quality, led Sagitun GIRLZ with a phenomenal seven-goal performance. But beyond the dazzling offensive display, the sentiment after the match was one of admiration for the resilience shown by Cayo Dreamers.
“Though we didn’t secure any victories on the scoreboard, **we gained something far greater** — growth, resilience, and a deeper love for the beautiful game. Every challenge taught us lessons, and every match shaped us into stronger Dreamers,” the Cayo Dreamers wrote on social media.

With their semifinal victory secured, Sagitun GIRLZ now set their sights on the PWLB championship clash against Napoles, who edged past defending champions Jewel Fury on away goals.
