By Rubén Morales Iglesias: ⚽🇧🇿 Current champions Sagitun GIRLZ FC took a major step toward the PWLB 2025 Opening Championship Final with a commanding 4–2 away win over Corozal Elite FC in the first leg of their semifinal at the Carolina Football Field in Corozal on Saturday, December 6.
Sagitun GIRLZ surged ahead with goals from Sabrina Eiley (20’ PK), Marcelie Mar (30’), Premilie Hope (44’), and Tamara Baptist (67’). Corozal Elite responded through Josefin Reyes (63’) and Kaite Jones (79’) but couldn’t close the gap.
With a two-goal cushion, Sagitun GIRLZ will host the second leg in Independence, aiming to seal their spot in the final.
