Captain Shai Hope’s masterclass century and aggressive fast bowling by Jayden Seales powered West Indies to their first One Day International (ODI) series win against Pakistan in 34 years, as the Maroons rallied to a 202-runs victory over the visitors at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on Tuesday to take the three match series 2-1.
Seales, who troubled the Pakistani batsmen with dangerous pace and smart bowling throughout his spell, finished with six for 18 in 7.2 overs to help remove the opponents for just 92 runs, as they fell significantly short of their target in the series decider.
Seales removed four Pakistani batters for no-score, first removing Saim Ayub caught by hope and then sending Abdullah Shafique back to the dressing room for an eight-ball duck after he was caught by Motie.
The fast bowler then removed the Pakistan captain, Mohammad Rizwan, bowled for a duck, Nasheem Shah caught and bowled for six and Hasan Ali, bowled for no score. It was the first ODI five-wicket haul for the Trinidadian who was also named Player of the Series.
Gudakesh Motie chipped in with two for 37 and Roston Chase bagged one for 16.

Earlier, the Player of the Match, Hope, powered West Indies to 294 for six with an unbeaten 120 from 94 deliveries. Hope slammed 10 fours and five sixes on his way to the century. The captain had a strike rate of 127.65.
The knock moved Hope third in the rankings at 18 for most ODI centuries for the West Indies. He is behind Brian Lara who has 19 and Chris Gayle with 25.
Justin Greaves also batted not out for 43 from 24 deliveries, hitting four fours and two sixes on his way. Evin Lewis chipped in with 37 from 54, while Roston Chase added 36 from 29 deliveries.
Shah (2/72) and Abrar Ahmed (2/34) each picked up two wickets for Pakistan.
