The St. Croix Track Club proudly fielded a team of 19 athletes at the Association of Youth/Junior Athletics Athletics League, held on Saturday, March 7.

The meet brought together 553 athletes representing 61 clubs. Competing in divisions for athletes ages 14 and older, the St. Croix contingent took part in a wide range of events—from explosive sprints to technical throws. At every level of competition, the team rose to the challenge, delivering strong performances and achieving numerous personal bests. The top performers who finished in the top three positions in their two events were Juvante Hurst, Faith Eatmon, and Rajon Charles.
Girls 14–15: The Mustangs opened the day with standout performances in the 14–15 girls’ division. Charlise Morris sprinted to an impressive 12.92, earning 2nd place overall in the 100m.
In the 400m, Faith Eatmon delivered one of the team’s most commanding performances, winning 1st overall in 1:01.38. The duo returned for the 200m, where Eatmon again took 1st overall in 26.16, while Morris secured 3rd overall with a strong 26.87. These results highlight a rising generation of Mustang sprinters ready to make their mark.
In the 16–17 girls’ 100m:
Nahalia Giddings ran 13.40, finishing 3rd in her heat and 12th overall. Barecia Brooks clocked 14.54 for 19th overall. Gabriella Martial finished in 16.05, placing 27th overall. The 200m saw continued effort from the group. Giddings ran 27.56, placing 14th overall. Martial completed the race in 35.06, finishing 36th overall.
The Mustangs’ 16–17 boys delivered one of the strongest team showings of the meet, especially in the 100m. Juvante Hurst exploded to a personal best 11.07, earning 1st overall. Jah’Quan Creque followed closely with 11.11, winning his heat and finishing 2nd overall.
Julio Soto ran 11.94 (19th), Emanuel McIntosh posted 12.05 (21st), Eve Frederick ran 12.25 (23rd), Ariel Munroe clocked 12.35 (27th), and Ray Lambert finished in 12.72 (32nd).
In the 400m, Hurst returned with a strong 52.65, winning his heat and placing 4th overall.
The 200m featured a tight finish between teammates McIntosh and Soto who both ran 24.61, tying for 21st overall. Frederick (25.78), Munroe (26.30), and Lambert (28.73) rounded out the event with determined efforts.
In the 18–19 girls’ 100m, Sarai Gomez ran 13.19, finishing 4th in her heat and 8th overall. She later returned in the 200m, posting 27.19 for another 8th‑place overall finish. In the throws Jahleya George placed 7th in the shot put with 7.80m. She followed with a 3rd‑place finish in the javelin, throwing 16.31m.
The 18–19 boys’ sprints were another highlight for the Mustangs as Yahraya Doctrine won his 100m heat in 11.13, finishing 2nd overall. Rajon Charles followed closely with 11.15, placing 3rd overall. Imani Flavius ran 12.27, finishing 16th overall. In the 200m, Charles dominated with a winning time of 22.35, earning 1st overall. Doctrine ran 22.87, finishing 10th overall. Flavius completed the race in 24.79, placing 27th overall. In the throws, Kahlan Beaupierre placed 5th in the shot put (10.26m) and earned 3rd in the javelin (33.28m).
In the senior division, Jordan Vaughn delivered two strong results — Shot Put: 12.65m Javelin: 33.92m — 1st place
