Swimmer Stefano Mitchell registered a season best of 51.23 seconds in the 100 meters freestyle race at the World Swimming Championships being held in Singapore on Monday but did not advance to the next round of the event.
Competing in heat seven, Mitchell finished the race in the ninth position which saw him ranked 58th overall. The swimmer is set to compete in the 200 meters freestyle as well.
On the previous day, Bianca Mitchell registered a time of 2:11.40 to finish fourth in the Women’s 200 meters Freestyle event. the time did not qualify her for the next round of the event. Earlier this week, Naeem De Souza registered a new personal best of 26.52 in the Men’s 50 Meters Butterfly as he finished third in his heat. Despite his mammoth effort, the PB did not qualify De Souza for the next round of the competition.
