STEVEN DAVIS has broken silence on talk he could be about to make a stunning return to Rangers.
The Ibrox legend has been linked with taking up a role on Danny Rohl’s backroom team.

Rohl was appointed Rangers head coach a fortnight ago.
He replaced Russell Martin who had been sacked from the position after just four months in charge amid a disastrous run in charge.
Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Rohl, 36, quickly added to his coaching staff.
He appointed Matthias Kaltenbach as his No2 and also added Sascha Lense as first team performance manager.
But he isn’t finished yet and Rohl wants to name a former Rangers player – or at least someone with knowledge of Scottish football – to his backroom team.
Rohl revealed that talks are ongoing and the appointment should be made during the upcoming international break.
Several names have been linked with the role, most prominently former Rangers captain Steven Davis, Gers hero Neil McCann and another ex-Ibrox skipper, Lee Wallace.
Reports have suggested that Davis and McCann were battling it out for the role – and now Davis has had his say.
Appearing as a pundit for the huge Premier Sports Cup semi-final clash between the Gers and Celtic, Davis was grilled on the situation.
But asked if he’d held talks with Rohl and Rangers, Davis insisted there has been NO contact.
Davis told Premier Sports: “From my point of view, it’s all been rumours and speculation.
“I’ve not heard anything.
“Obviously had a lot of messages from my friends, different people connected with the club, asking me the same question.
“But there’s been no conversations so unless you know anything different, please let me know.”
