Matches coordinator of the 2025 ACADO Breakaway Masters Organisers Firms Invitational Football Tournament, Claude Millington has chided teams that continue to default matches in this year’s competition.
Millington, who chaired the closing and presentation ceremony last Saturday, October, 4, 2025 at the Pavilion of the Richmond Hill Playing Field, used the platform to made known his Executive’s position on the “disheartening” situation.
“Some teams forfeited more than the one game; this is not nice because you are representing your firm and if your firm give you time off to come here and play, why should not be able to field a team,” Millington asked bluntly.
“How could you be representing a firm and forfeiting games?”
He also referred to the third-place play-off between Fisherfolk, and the Ministry of Housing and Sports which was not played because neither team was sufficiently represented for the match that was set for Friday, October, 3.
As a consequence, organisers withheld the allocated prize money and trophy.
