Elite Thomas and Anika James were crowned winners in the boy’s and girl’s category of the Antigua and Barbuda Triathlon Association Duathlon held on Sunday at Fort James Beach.
Thomas completed the two-miles run and six-miles bike in a time of 40 minutes and 32 seconds to capture the top prize. Benjamin Carr was a distant second with a time of 1:06.07 (one hour, six minutes and seven) seconds.
Meanwhile, James dominated the girls event of a two- miles run and three-miles bike, registering a time of 39 minutes and 20 seconds in the number one slot.
Nevaeh Eugene finished second in a time of one hour and seven minutes.
