TOMMY FURY has broken his silence after barging a plumber at the finish line of the Great North Run.
The box caused controversy as he sprinted at the end of the half marathon.
Fury, 26, has become notorious for his interesting style in the final few metres of races and in Newcastle he barged two fellow runners out of the way.
His behaviour was met with widespread condemnation, including from one of the men he pushed out of the way.
Fury appears to be unfazed however, instead focusing his attention on his partner, Molly-Mae Hague.
After the former Love Island star won best documentary at the NTA Awards, Fury showered her with praise.
He wrote on social media: “Words can’t describe! So unbelievably proud of you. Well done.”
Molly-Mae returned the compliment on the red carpet when asked about Fury’s documentary.
Asked if she was proud, she gushed: “Yeah, so proud of him.”
“I think he did an amazing job. They [the team] produced something really amazing and we both support each other. We’re all really proud.”

Molly-Mae and Fury met during filming for the fifth season of Love Island back in 2019.
Both of them were contestants on the show, and the pair ended up remaining together after the programme ended.
Despite breaking up briefly in August of last year, Molly-Mae confirmed the duo got back together in her documentary.
She also shared her admiration of the fighter after he crossed the finish of a 100km triathlon, which he was later revealed to have lied about completing.
After Fury was emotionally reunited with Molly-Mae and their daughter Bambi at the finish line, he said: “I left it all out in the French Riviera. 100km triathlon on 10 days training…. completed.”
She shared how “proud” she was. Then after video emerged of him staggering over the finish line, he wrote: “Go ahead and roast my form… but could you sprint finish after a 100km triathlon?”
The gruelling course is made up of three stages: a 2km swim, an 80km bike leg and finally an 18km run to the end.
But it was reported on Wednesday that there was a discrepancy in Fury’s race – which the 11-0 boxer claimed to have “completed”.
