TOTTENHAM have reached an agreement worth just over £60million to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.
The North Londoners made a major breakthrough earlier today following days of talks with the Eagles.
Spurs will pay £30m up front for Eze, with the rest made in instalments.
The initial payment will help Palace sign a replacement for their outgoing talisman.
Eze, 27, emerged as a key target for Tottenham following the ACL injury suffered by James Maddison during pre-season.
Talks were held last week between Spurs and Palace and it had been suggested that Eze could sit out of his side’s Premier League opener at Chelsea on Sunday.
But with no agreement having yet been reached, the England midfielder played in the 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge, and was unlucky to see a brilliant free-kick disallowed.
