By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Tut Bay extended their lead at the top of the Belize District Football Association (BDFA) 1st Division Closing Championship standings, securing a dominant 5-1 victory over Reggae Boyz at the Marion Jones Sports Complex on Sunday. With the win, Tut Bay now sits comfortably in first place with 13 points, while Reggae Boyz remains in fourth with seven.

Caesar Ridge strengthened their position in the standings with a crucial 6-2 victory over defending champions Survivors, pushing themselves into second place with 10 points. Survivors, meanwhile, dropped from fifth to sixth with four points, struggling to recapture the form that saw them win the championship last season.
Old Road Defenders climbed the table after their hard-fought 3-2 win against Hattieville United, moving up from sixth to fifth place with five points. Hattieville, still without a win, remain rooted at the bottom of the standings.
As the race for the championship heats up, Tut Bay continues to dominate, but Caesar Ridge, with one game less, and Kelly Street remain within striking distance. With crucial matchups ahead, teams will need to battle for every point to secure a strong finish in the tournament.
