TWO Rangers legends are reportedly fighting it out for a position in Danny Rohl’s backroom staff at Ibrox.
The new Rangers boss, appointed last week, is keen to add a former Light Blues player to his coaching team — someone who understands the club’s culture and values.

Rohl, 36, has already brought Sascha Lense and Matthias Kaltenbach with him to Glasgow after replacing Russell Martin in the hot-seat.
And three former Rangers players linked with the role included Steven Davis, Neil McCann and Lee Wallace.
Both Davis and McCann have previous coaching experience at Ibrox.
Davis even took charge of two games as interim manager in 2023 before Philippe Clement was appointed.

McCann worked as an assistant coach to Barry Ferguson during his short reign in the dugout last season.
Wallace, meanwhile, hasn’t held a coaching position at Rangers.
He is currently part of the setup at Hearts and was reportedly recommended to Röhl by former Sheffield Wednesday and Rangers player Josh Windass.
However, according to the Daily Record, Wallace is not in contention for the position, leaving Davis and McCann in a two-way battle for the job.
It’s understood Rohl will take several days to assess both candidates — considering how each might fit into his staff structure and their current availability.
McCann is currently without a club and has been working in the media since leaving his short-term role at Rangers last season.
Meanwhile, Davis is currently part of Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland backroom team.
Revealing his plans to appoint an ex-Rangers player, Rohl said: “I will try to bring a former Rangers player with a good background here as well because for me it’s important to take this advantage from a guy who knows Rangers, who knows the league, why should I not use this?
“This would be a perfect set up for me.
“I have three or four candidates in mind. I collect the information, I think it’s also important to have the right person to your coaching team but I think at the end we will make a good decision.”
