THE United States men’s national team appears to have a new uniform combo for the 2026 World Cup.
It looks like the kit will pay tribute to the last USMNT squad to play on home soil in 1994.
Leaks of the home and away kit have emerged, and it is a huge shift from recent kits worn by Christian Pulisic and co.
Instead of a flat white shirt with blue accents, USMNT is shifting to a red and white striped kit.
The Nike uniform was leaked by FootyHeadlines, and look to be inspired by a waving American flag.
It is more of a patriotic look as the USMNT hosts the tournament this year.
In 1994, the USMNT wore wavy vertical red and white stripes, but the leaked 2026 World Cup kit immediately evokes memories of that team.
US legends like Alexi Lalas, Marcelo Balboa, and Cobi Jones adorned similar colors 30 years ago.
Alongside the red and white stripes, the new kit is finished off with navy blue on the collar and sleeve cuffs.
Fans immediately fell in love with the kit and shared their thoughts on social media.
“Finally a kit I am willing to buy,” one fan said.
“These kits rock,” another fan said.
“Red and white is best they’ve ever had. Ever,” a third fan said.
An away kit has also been leaked alongside the red and white uniform.
That kit features a black colorway, with grey stars across the shirt.
It is adorned with a silver USA crest, rather than the traditional red, white, and blue version.
That kit could emerge in the USMNT’s third group stage game, as they are the designated away team for that match.
The USMNT kicks off its World Cup campaign on June 12 against Paraguay in Los Angeles.
The leaked red and white jersey will likely be the team’s kit for the opening match.
