IT’S been seven months since Vaclav Cerny last played for Rangers.
But the former Ibrox loan star would certainly have been feeling a sense of deja vu tonight!
Cerny, 28, was a major bright spark in an otherwise poor campaign for Rangers last season.
A loan signing from German outfit Wolfsburg, Cerny became a key man for the Light Blues.
He scored 18 goals in all competitions, including 12 in 33 league games.
Rangers fans were gutted when his season-long loan came to an end with no permanent deal ever seeming close to happening.

Instead, Cerny made a permanent switch to Turkey in early September.
He penned a three-year deal with Besiktas.
The Czech Republic international has become a key player for the Turkish giants.
Now, he’s enjoyed his finest moment yet for the club.
And it’s fair to say there’s a MASSIVE sense of deja vu.
Cerny contributed to some huge moments and scored some big goals during his time at Rangers.
None came bigger than a stunning double against Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
Rangers headed to Turkey as underdogs in the last 16 of the Europa League in early March.
It was a turbulent time for the Gers with club legend Barry Ferguson having recently taken interim charge as manager following Philippe Clement‘s sacking.
When all was said and done, Ferguson had led the Light Blues to a remarkable 3-1 win over Fenerbahce and their iconic boss Jose Mourinho.
After seeing an early Cyriel Dessers goal cancelled out by Fener’s Alexander Djiku, Cerny took centre stage.
He finished off a brilliant move involving Dessers as the Gers regained the lead before half time.
Cerny then latched on to an incredible Nicolas Raskin pass to score again and stun the hosts.
Rangers would see the tie out the following week, emerging victorious in dramatic fashion after penalties.
Fast forward nine months and Cerny has done it AGAIN.
‘It’ being downing Fenerbahce in their own back yard – and scoring twice AGAIN!
This time, it was a Turkish Cup group stage showdown, the first game of the competition for both of these rivals.
Cerny’s 33rd minute opening goal was cancelled out by a Marco Asensio penalty.
But the ex-Gers man had the final say as he fired home a dramatic winner in the 91st minute winner to send the visiting fans wild.
As you might expect given the fierce rivalry, there were wild celebrations at the end of the game with Cerny at the heart of it.
Speaking after the game, Cerny said: “First of all, I am very happy for our entire club. We deserved to end the year this way.
“I am happy for all of my team. In general, it was in the form of a struggle, but in the end we won.”
He also joked: “It would be nice to always score two goals.”
Cerny has proved a big player for Besiktas this season with 11 goal involvements.
He’s netted five times while providing six assists.
However, Besiktas currently sit fifth in the Turkish Super Lig amid an inconsistent season so far.
They’re 13 points off the pace being set by current leaders Galatasaray who sit three clear of Fenerbahce at the top.
