VIRGIN MEDIA was forced to issue an embarrassing apology after branding a Wales rugby star a “w****.”
The bizarre mistake occurred on Virgin Media’s TV service page, which mistakenly described Wales and Scarlets hooker Ryan Elias as something much more X-rated.

The international rugby star was appearing as a guest on Welsh chat show Jonathan, which is hosted by Jonathan Davies and is broadcast on a Thursday night on Welsh language channel S4C.
Virgin Media’s listing described, in English, how actress Siaan Reese-Williams and hooker Elias would both be on the upcoming episode.
However, the Welsh translation mistakenly used the word “butain” to describe Elias’ rugby position – which translates to the word “w****.”
They were instead meant to have used to correct rugby term “bachwr.”
