WAYNE ROONEY locked his wife Coleen out after Liverpool won the Premier League in 2020.
The Rooneys met at school at Merseyside and got married in 2008 after six years of dating, even though they have very different football affiliations.
Wayne, 39, grew up in a loyal Everton household and got to spend a total of nine years across two stints with the club in between 13 glittering seasons at Manchester United.
Coleen, 39, on the other hand, is a passionate Liverpool fan and hasn’t been shy of showing where her heart lies despite her husband being a Toffees and Man Utd legend.
So much so that the England legend revealed the reality star hung up flags across their house five years ago when the Reds finally won their first Premier League title after 30 barren years.
And the iconic striker didn’t hold back when discussing his reaction as he admitted he locked her out of the house.
Wayne said on his podcast The Wayne Rooney Show: “When Liverpool won the Premier League a few years ago, I came home, I was at Derby at the time, and Coleen’s got Liverpool flags up outside the house.
“It was our old house, so outside the front door there’s a little balcony thing and the flag was outside the window there, so I told her to go and get it down.
“She went up and you had to actually climb out the window to get it down, so she went up and I locked her out.”
Nevertheless, the joke ended after “not too long” when Wayne let Coleen back into the house.

However, that didn’t stop her family from doing the same thing five years later when Liverpool tied United for most league titles won by lifting their 20th trophy last May.
This comes ahead of Saturday’s Merseyside derby when Everton visit Anfield.
And Wayne has some very bad memories from that match as he has never emerged victorious from any of his seven appearances, having lost three times along the way.
