WEST HAM fans have been left bemused by their poor fortune after their young breakthrough star was forced off the pitch through injury.
Freddie Potts was given just his second career start against Burnley but was forced off after picking up what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

The 22-year-old tried to play on after initially showing signs of the injury just after the 60th minute, but it became quickly clear that he could not continue.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo elected to replace him with Tomas Soucek, who scored the final goal in the Hammers’ 3-1 triumph over Newcastle last weekend.
Fans were distraught at the developments, saying: “We have got the worst luck out of any team. F***ing Potts shining and now off with hamstring.”
Another fan wished the youngster well, saying: “Hope Potts’ injury isn’t serious. Already a crucial player for us in the 2 matches he’s started.”

And a third supporter added: “Oh not an injury for Potts man. Not now, not ever. Too bad, wish it’s not serious.”
Potts is the newest member of a family dynasty at West Ham.
His brother Dan came through the academy in East London, making just a handful of appearances before making the move to Luton Town.
But the brother’s father Steve is a certified legend at the club, having made almost 400 appearances for the Hammers in his 17 years with the club.
He was promoted to a first-team assistant coach upon Nuno’s arrival last month, having coached in the academy where his son was developing before that.
