CELTIC will need to stump up serious cash if they are to prise Wilfried Nancy away from Columbus Crew to be their next permanent manager, it’s being claimed.
SunSport told you how the Frenchman had emerged as the frontrunner to succeed Brendan Rodgers following his sensational exit last month.

The Scottish champions have as many as eight managers high up on their shortlist and club representatives held talks with candidates in London this week.
It’s also believed the Hoops board are planning to hold discussions with Martin O’Neil and Shaun Maloney over their futures during the international break.
But in the meantime, the club’s hierarchy are considering their options and Nancy is high up on the agenda.
The Columbus Crew boss is held in high regard by Paul Tisdale, who is leading the search for Rodgers’ successor.

But the Frenchman won’t be available for cheap if Celts do make a move.
That’s according to the Daily Record – who suggest the MLS club will demand a hefty compensation package for the 48-year-old.
Nancy penned a new long-term contract with the American outfit in 2024 and is claimed to be one of the highest-paid managers in the league.
The report states that Columbus Crew will be looking to secure a multi-million dollar fee for his departure.
His assistant Kwame Ampadu – who has close ties with Celtic head of football operations Tisdale – is expected to be part of the package.
Nancy’s contract length has been kept strictly under wraps, but it’s suggested the Frenchman penned a three-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2027.
The 48-year-old was quizzed on talks with Celtic during a press conference stateside today, where he refused to rule out the possibility of becoming the club’s next permanent manager.
Nancy said: “I’m not here to talk about myself. I’m here to talk about the team.
“I have nothing to say about any kind of reports.”
