SCOTLAND’S World Cup qualification is in the big and there’s all kinds of drama going on in the Scottish Premiership.
But it’s almost time for the Scottish Cup to take centre stage as the big guns get ready to join the party – TODAY!


The third round of the biggest cup competition in Scotland takes place this weekend, with all 10 Championship and all 10 League One teams entering at this stage.
Alongside them, a host of teams from outside the SPFL will be hoping to punch their tickets to the next round and set up a tantalising clash against one of Scottish football‘s big hitters.
The likes of Banks O’Dee, Clydebank, Camelon and Benburb are all taking part in the third round this weekend and a huge prize could await them.
Should they got through, they’ll be in the hat for the fourth around and that’s when all 12 Premiership clubs arrive in the competition.

This will be the stage holders Aberdeen kick-off the defence of their trophy, with Celtic and Rangers also among those arriving in the competition for the first time this season.
And there isn’t long to wait until all the fourth round teams discover who they’ll be facing with the draw also taking place this weekend.

- The Scottish Cup fourth round draw will take place this Sunday, 30 November
- It will be shown during BBC Sportscene’s Premiership highlights show

- The draw will be shown live on BBC Sportscene on Sunday night
- The programme begins at 7.15pm on the BBC Scotland channel
- The draw is expected to begin around 8pm

Which teams are involved in the Scottish Cup fourth round draw?
- All 12 Scottish Premiership teams enter the competition at this stage
- They will be joined by the 20 winners of the third round ties taking place this weekend – one tie is still to be played after postponement
- Three non-league clubs will be in the draw – Camelon Juniors and Auchinleck Talbot have booked their spot while Tranent’s big third round tie with Inverness CT is the aforementioned tie that was called off on Saturday
- Premiership clubs in draw: Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee, Dundee United, Falkirk, Hearts, Hibs, Kilmarnock, Livingston, Motherwell, Rangers, St Mirren
- Championship clubs in draw: Airdrieonians, Arbroath, Ayr, Dunfermline, Morton, Partick Thistle, Queen’s Park, Raith, Ross County
- League One clubs in draw: Cove Rangers, Kelty Hearts, Montrose, Stenhousemuir
- League Two clubs in draw: Annan, Elgin, Stranraer, The Spartans
- Non-league clubs in draw: Auchinleck Talbot, Camelon Juniors
- Tie still to be played: Tranent or Inverness CT
When will the Scottish Cup fourth round matches be played?
- As always, the Scottish Cup fourth round will take place in the early part of the new year
- The fourth round ties are scheduled to take place on the weekend of 17/18 January
- Matches are also likely to be held on the Friday and Monday once TV picks have been confirmed
