Action continued in the Antigua Cup International Youth Football Tournament on Wednesday with wins for Old Road, Bath United and Cutting Edge at the Buckley’s Primary School playing field.
Enjoying the biggest win of the day, Old Road had the better of Freetown Ballers by a 5-0 margin in the Under-17 Boys Division. Greg Williams led the scoring with a double-strike while there were single conversions from Adonai Lee-Francis, J-Quan Shoy and Ajabe Rae.
In the same division, Bath United out of St Kitts edged Buckley’s United 2-1. Jaheel Hazel and Lindel Abraham were on target for the winners while Najae Morton scored the lone goal for Buckley’s.
Meanwhile, in the Under-13 Boys Division, there was double triumph for Cutting Edge Academy with their first coming against Bath United whom they bested 3-0. Kiran Cordice led with a double strike while Tamorey Henry scored the other goal.
Cutting Edge triumphed in the Under-13 Girls Division as well, beating young Warriors 6-0.
The victors were led by national striker Iressiea Allen who recorded a hattrick with Abigail Simmons, Sharakrah Toulon and Karima Toulon all scoring once.
