Cricket fans in Barbados have started to make the steady journey to Kensington Oval to purchase tickets for the upcoming matches in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) tournament. Tickets went on sale at the Oval box office from Thursday morning as fans hope to get the best seats in the house to see home team Barbados Royals in action. An official from the Royals noted that the box office will be open from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closer to the matches will be opened on weekends. Fans can also get their ticket on-line at CPL website, which has proven increasingly popular.
The Royals, who last won the trophy in 2019 under the leadership of Jason Holder, will look to end their title drought this year under the captaincy of all-rounder Rovman Powell. The players will assemble from Sunday, August 10, for their pre-season camp also at the historic venue.
