Veteran all-rounder, Rahkeem Cornwall, leads a list of five Antiguans selected in a 13-member Leeward Islands Hurricanes squad for the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Four Day Championships set to bowl off this weekend.
Cornwall, who has scored 3258 First Class runs across 95 matches and claimed 450 wickets, is joined in the squad by fellow Antiguan, the all-rounder Karima Gore. Gore captained the Leeward Islands Thunder in last year’s Breakout League and received his maiden call by the West Indies for their historic T20 International series against Nepal in the UAE, held in September 2025.
Also selected is rising batting star Jewel Andrew, who recently had a second stint with the West Indies Under-19s, fast bowler Kelvin Pitman and spinning all-rounder Kadeem Henry.
The team will be captained by Barbadian bowling all-rounder, Justin Greaves, as they face Trinidad & Tobago Red Force in a three-match series scheduled for April 12th here in Antigua.
Notably absent from the squad however, is Antiguan all-rounder Kofi James, who has been dominant with the bat during the recent two-day competition put on by the Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Association (ABCA). James, who plays for PIC Liberta Blackhawks in the local competition, finished at the top of the runs scorers’ table with a total of 609 runs in 13 innings.

Leeward Islands Hurricanes will host Trinidad & Tobago Red Force here at the Coolidge Cricket Ground (CCG) in the opening round of the Four Day Championships starting April 12 before facing the same opposition in the second round starting April 19 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
The series then moves to the historic Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG) where the Hurricanes will, once again, take on T&T Red Force starting April 26.
The two top teams, following the preliminary round, will advance to the final slated for May 17th.
