Freetown captured the 2025 ACB Caribbean Parish League Sir Richie Richardson Trophy after edging Mahico by just two runs in a thrilling Game 3 decider on Sunday at Freetown.
Batting first, Freetown posted 160 for five from their 30 overs with Kief Baltimore leading the charge. The opener remained unbeaten on 43, receiving solid support from Dilon Wills (27), Jamaul Fernandez (25), and Cleton Payne (21).
Mike France was Mahico’s best bowler, claiming two for 36 runs in his six-over spell, but Freetown’s balanced batting effort set up a challenging chase.

Mahico came agonizingly close to the title, racking up 158 for eight as Dion Samuel top-scored with an unbeaten 33, while J’quan Athanaze (27), Daren Dunnah (27), and Tanez Francis (22) all contributed valuable runs.
However, Freetown’s bowling attack held their nerve when it mattered most. Dean Williams was the standout performer, claiming three for 21, while Shem Laboard provided crucial support with two for 24.
After Mahico won the series opener and Freetown leveled with a victory in Game 2, the stage was set for a winner-takes-all finale. The two-run margin of victory highlighted just how evenly matched these two teams were throughout the best-of-three series.
Freetown’s triumph marks a successful comeback after losing the first match at home, demonstrating remarkable resilience to claim the prestigious Sir Richie Richardson Trophy in what will be remembered as one of the league’s most exciting finals in recent memory.
