In doubles, the Bahamas pairing of Armbrister and Kofi Bowe proved too strong for Antigua & Barbuda’s Rodain Monelle and Ron Murraine, winning 6-0, 6-2. The result also gave Bowe his first Davis Cup victory.
Antigua & Barbuda, competing alongside The Bahamas, Cuba, Panama, and Suriname in Group B, will look to bounce back as the tournament continues. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the promotional playoffs for a place in the 2026 Americas Group III.
The Davis Cup, known as the “World Cup of Tennis,” features 10 nations in this year’s Group IV tournament, which runs until August 9. Matches start daily at 10 a.m.
