Tajahron Davis was in a dominant mood in the Junior Boys Division of the Cool & Smooth/Joma Caribbean Schools Basketball Competition on Monday, converting almost 100 percent of Clare Hall Secondary School’s (CHSS) 29 points as they beat Antigua Grammar School (AGS) by four points at the JSC basketball complex.
Davis, the son of former national basketballer, Mahijah Davis, picked up 22 of his team’s 29 points in their 29-25 triumph over AGS in a dominant display. Jovan Gordon and Ayodele Edwards sank 11 and eight points respectively for AGS.
Still in the Junior Boys category, St Anthony’s Secondary School (SASS) had the better of Princess Margaret School (PMS) 32-28. Romel Mason and Kaden Edwards were the top performers for SASS with nine and eight points each. Elijah Charles of PMS sank a game high of 18 points.

There was action as well in the Senior Boys Division with Sir McChesney George High School picking up a narrow 43-41 triumph over St Mary’s Secondary School. Eli Harris and Kyjah John were the top performers for Sir McChesney George with 11 and 10 points respectively. Yohan Nicholas (24 points) and Sheldon George (10 points) were the top performers for St Mary’s Secondary.
Island Academy were 41-22 winners over ABCAS with Tristan Thibou and Khalique Harris leading the charge for the winners with 13 and 11 points each.
In the Mini Boys Secondary Division, PMS defeated St Joseph’s Academy (SJA) 18-9. On Tuesday, Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) had the better of SJA 22-16. Levi Richards top-scored with nine points for the victors.
There was action as well in the Mini Girls Primary Division with Post Millennial Academy beating Greenbay Primary 13-3 and JT Ambrose getting the best of SR Olivia David Primary 5-1. In the Mini Boys Primary competition, Mary E Pigott beat Cedar Grove 14-6.
