Princess Margaret School (PMS) and Antigua Grammar School (AGS) dominated Wednesday’s action in both the Junior and Senior Boys matchups in their Junior Boys matchup at the JSC Sports Complex.
PMS secured a 44-13 victory against Sir Novelle Richards Academy (SNRA) in the Juniors, with Elijah Charles leading the way with an outstanding performance, pouring in 22 points to pace his team’s offensive attack.

Then, AGS had the most impressive performance of the day in the contest, claiming a 69-20 victory over Island Academy (IA). Jovan Gordon led all scorers with 18 points, while Joshua Joseph and Derick Perez contributed 16 and15 points respectively. Tristan Thibou top-scored with 11 points for IA.

In Senior Boys action, AGS continued their dominant form with a convincing 75-33 victory over Jennings Secondary (JSS). Joshua Joseph, Derick Perez, Raheem Sawyer, and Dajon George each scored 12 points to share the team lead, while Jordan Andrew had 10. Jahmoy Jeremy of JSS was their top scorer with 10 points.
In very rare cases, matches are drawn in schools’ basketball and individuals present witnessed something spectacular as not only was the game high-scoring but both teams were evenly matched. In what can only be described as a classic overtime thriller, PMS edged defending Champions Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS) 77-74 after regulation time ended deadlocked at 63-63, both teams battled through an intense overtime period before PMS emerged victorious.
Gabriel De Suza delivered a sensational performance for PMS, exploding for 47 points as Noah Massiah provided crucial support with 20 points, helping to share the offensive burden.
CHSS, despite falling just short, received an equally impressive performance from Tajahron Davis, who poured in 46 points in a valiant effort, while Jahaziel Santana added 15 points, but it wasn’t quite enough to overcome PMS in the extra period.
