Navigators’ winless season extended on Saturday evening when they went under to the Elite Stingerz in the opening game of the evening while Full Throttle continued their good start to the season with their second win of the JSC Red Hawks in Division 1 of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association at the JSC Sports Complex.
Elite Stingerz extended the Navigators’ misery with a 30-point drubbing 100-70 that wasn’t as close as the final score indicated.
Joshua Minner poured in 30 points on a scorching 13-of-18 shooting performance (72.2%). The sharpshooter also facilitated the offense with six assists and was supported by veteran Steven Matthew who provided the perfect complement with 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting with Brycen Thomas adding 15 points.
The Navigators, still reeling from their 55-point loss to the Cuties Ovals OJays just two days earlier, showed some improvement. Coy Quinland led the way with 17 points and De-Lornge Jules added 12 points.

In the second encounter of the evening, Danny Perez erupted for Full Throttle with 33 points on 14-of-28 shooting to help them to a dominant 105-80 victory over the JSC Red Hawks.
Perez received plenty of support from point guard Nick Strawter, who orchestrated the offense with 10 assists while adding 17 points on efficient 7-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-4 from three-point range. Pindo Drammeh added 15 points and swatted away four shots in a dominant defensive performance, while Christian Walker contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds for Full Throttle, who shot an impressive 51.1% from the field.
The Red Hawks couldn’t keep pace despite a valiant effort from Cohen DeSouza, who finished with 24 points on 8-of-19 shooting. Bryce Smith added 17 points and a game-high 13 defensive rebounds, but the team’s 34.6% shooting from the field proved insurmountable.
