Antigua and Barbuda’s promising young footballer Drake Hadeed has taken a major step in his professional career after signing with Spanish club Antequera CF, which competes within Spain’s professional football system overseen by La Liga.
The move marks another milestone for the rising Antiguan international, who continues to build his reputation on the European football stage.
Hadeed, who was born in Miami on November 21, 2007, to Antiguan parents David and Jessica Hadeed, has represented Antigua and Barbuda from an exceptionally young age. He first made headlines when he debuted for the national Under-20 team at just 14 years old during a match against Costa Rica — an achievement that quickly signaled his immense potential.

His football development has been shaped through several respected international academies. Hadeed began his youth career in the United States with North Coast FC before moving to England where he spent time at the prestigious West Ham United academy from 2019 to 2022. After returning to the United States, he continued his development with Columbus Crew and most recently played professionally with Carolina Core FC between 2023 and 2025.
