Another exciting night of volleyball unfolded Saturday night at the YMCA Sports Complex as Stoneville displayed dominance in the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association across both the men’s and women’s divisions.
The first encounter in Men’s Division Two, Stingers defeated the Sharks in straight sets, winning 2-0. Stingers controlled the tempo from the outset, taking the first set 25-16 with strong attacking play and disciplined defense. They maintained their composure in a tighter second set, closing out the match 25-22 to secure a confident victory.

In the Men’s Division, Invaders faced a stern test against Stoneville, ultimately going down 3-1 in a hard-fought encounter. Stoneville set the tone early, claiming the first two sets 25-18 and 25-22. Invaders responded with resilience in the third set, pulling off a 25-23 win to keep the match alive. However, Stoneville regained control in the fourth set, edging Invaders 25-22 to seal the victory.
The Women’s Division also saw a closely contested four-set match. After dropping the opening set 11-25, Starz showed improvement in the second but still fell 23-25 to Stoneville. They rallied strongly to take the third set 25-23, raising hopes of a comeback. However, their opponents held firm in the fourth set, once again winning 25-23 to clinch the match 3-1.
