The defending Champions Strictly Business and Survivors got off to a winning start as they began their campaigns with statement victories on Sunday. The Antigua and Barbuda Softball Cricket Association 30 Overs Competition bowled off first and saw the reigning T10 Champions Strictly Business rally in emphatic fashion to defeat 300 by 123 runs in All Saints.
Batting first, they posted 212 for 5 from 29 overs, led by Shaquan Reifer who blasted 52 with seven sixes who received solid support from Kim George 46, Jevon Howell 30, Melvin Charles 25, and Ashfield Weatherhead 22.
300 were bowled out for only 88 in 24 overs despite efforts from Molvin James and Blair Thomas, who both scored 25. The bowling attack was led by Owen Graham, who produced outstanding figures of four for two, Shaquan Reifer three for 19 and Ashfield Weatherhead picked up 2.

In the second game, Mix Up Stars forfeited their match against Dredgers after failing to field the required number of players.
In the St John’s Cooperative Credit Union 15-over female competition, Survivors continued their dominance over Female Flyers by securing a convincing ten-wicket win.
Flyers posted 62 for 5 from their 15 overs, with Terez Parker top-scoring with 29 and Mauveuhl Simpson adding 13. Kimberly Anthony led the bowling effort with two wickets.
Survivors comfortably chased down the target, reaching 64 without loss in 9.5 overs as Kimberly Anthony led the way with 33; Grace Persaud finished unbeaten on 25.
A decision is still pending regarding PMS vs 300, while the match between Potters Uprising Cricket Team and Jennings Rockets has been rescheduled.
